Hi everyone,

Just thinking what you guys are doing in the car, while waiting for the lights to turn green? While waiting, i manage to sort out a whole stack of letters and flyers, yep i had to wait about 5 mins for the lights to change..... wow.

Welcome lattner! Where are you sitting in traffic? Fiji? Miami? Charing Cross? Waiheke Island?

I'm still in the US, so I'm not seeing any dolphins jumping, just my kids asking for more snacks.

I glare at the windscreen washer guys, and just DARE them to come near my car....

Or check my txt messages, or try and console bub who is upset cos car has stopped.....

Most lights arent bad round here, but there are a couple of really badly designed junctions and you are there for aaagggggeeess..

Having spent much of my driving life in East London and Essex, I'm consoling myself with the belief that Auckland won't be THAT bad. Am I being too optimistic?:uhoh

Not denying the traffic can be bad, but its not bad on a UK scale, does that help  , and in general it keeps moving (albeit slowly!)

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome, Cardiff. I am staying somewhere near avondale and work near the city fringes. Traffic is ok during rush hours, if you are not driving an auto car, you can just leave it in 2nd gear :D .

jub jub, yep i get those guys splashing soap water on my screen before i can even say anything, and fiddling with the stereo is also my favourite past time while waiting for the lights :laugh .

Spotted this thread and couldn't resist...

Traffic lights? Aren't they just intended as guidance? :laugh

Love driving around Auckland, best theme park ever. 6 months on and I've just done my regular trick of turning at the wrong road in the city and having to go one junction down the motorway to come back again. The things I do to get a free sightseeing trip over the harbour bridge!

You are worse than hubby, he claims red is actually dark green, and as such he can keep going :roll :exit
