Hi H&Rick
I can't answer your question, but I'd also be interested in hearing from someone who has used these agents.
I had a look at their website, and the first thing that struck me is there is no mention of fees anywhere. Or rather, there is, but not how much. Since that is the first thing I want to know, I'm already slightly put off. I don't know where you're from, but I'm from SA and I'm proudly suspicious. :D
I also can't quite make out what they offer - it seems like they're offering to help you find a job, but how? Anyway, it may be worth phoning or emailing them, and getting more info out of them that way. I might do it myself. If I get any worthwhile feedback I'll let you know.
So what was my point in posting? Oh yes - be suspicious, and investigate further.

Hi
I have heard of them when we considered using the Emmigration Group, as I understand there is a link between them. I believe that they are different in that they are based in NZ and look for a job for you, as opposed to working for the employers who are trying to recruit new members of staff. Don't know about the cost though - It does sound expensive,
Hope this helps

We were told about them by the emigration group because they did our visa application, (yep, Im one of the very few people that am happy to have used an agent for the visa) but the emigration group person advised against us using them for my OH as he is quite senior in IT and they said themself that they did not feel they had the specialist knowledge of his area to do him justice.

I have always been very suspicious about using agents, especially because they are not clear enough. The other thing is, although filling forms up it's not my favorite hobby, it only took me a couple of hours, and saved us loads of money.
We came here on a visitor visa, met half a dozen of Recruitment Agents until the day my OH decided to email his C.V. to 30 companies in his industry(Insurance). Two and a half hours later, he had 4 jobs interviews on his diary, one of them for the next morning, when he was offered a very good position.
He sent the WTR application on the 26/06/06, it was lodged on the 28th,and we were told that it would take 60 working days for the visa to be issued. The company then faxed a letter asking for it to be fast-tracked, and he's got his visa/permit on the 11/07! Only 9 working days! :cheers
No real need to pay someone to do that!

Not used them but we did get the assessment done by the Emigration Group. From there we got their fees and quickly decided to do it ourselves. Very expenisve to use and unless you've got a tricky job to find not worth using :nice1

I too would be highly suspisious of any agency asking for an up-front fee. Bear in mind that that do get a hefty stack load of cash from the company they place you with. My question would be - why do they need to be paid twice? Also, if you pay them up front - they have money whether they place you or not.
Doesnt sound like a good idea to me.
