Detailed New Zealand maps

Good evening all
Has anyone found a site where you can find detailed maps of NZ? I'm looking for something to help me narrow down my options - we're hoping to work in Auckland, and I'm looking at the suburbs in Auckland - distance to commute will help me make some decisions. Is there anything like that out there?
I've looked at some maps online, but most of them don't even have the suburbs in my list. (I found a list of all the suburbs in Auckland from website about schools)
I'll keep looking, but if anyone can help me.... it would be greatly appreciated.

Best I've found is on the AA site, it gives directions and calculates distances too.

There's also http://www.nzmaps.co.nz but the navigation on that is a bit weird, it has no up/down/left/right arrows - or should I say North/South/West/East!

A great site that you can zoom in ("Say what you see") on specific roads in NZ.
Google earth has also been updated to include Satellite images of New Zealand at a very low level.

There is always www.wises.co.nz, you can get driving directions from that site too, so you can work out commute distances, there was another site Alijax posted which showed you traffic flow, but cant remember the site, and its on the other pc, will post it later

If you use the "hybrid" mode, you can see the road/suburb names AND the satellite photos :nice1
Use the controls on the left to zoom in/out and move the picture
