Hi guys..i was wondering if any of you know a good website to join where i can post pictures and small videos from my digital camera on my move to new zealand...is anyone using one currently or do you know of places and can list them and tell me what you know about them.thanks a bunch*

If you just want to post still and moving images, the best I've heard of is
Flickr (http://www.flickr.com)

They don't have a storage limit, but you are only allowed 20MB monthly upload (bandwidth, not storage) and 200 photos free; you can increase that to a 2 GB monthly upload and unlimited storage if you pay a $24.95 yearly subscription. See their FAQ (http://www.flickr.com/help/limits). You can set your photos as Private, accessible only to specified Friends, or open to the Public.


If you want to be able to mix writing about your experiences with those pictures, one option is
Blogger (http://www.blogger.com)

They will give you 300 MB of upload space for free. See their Picture FAQ (http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=42475). However, they don't seem to offer the ability to upgrade for more upload space.


LiveJournal (http://www.livejournal.com) allows you to blog for free, and for a $19.95 yearly subscription you get up to 2GB of photo upload space, along with a ton of other advanced and really useful features. FAQ (http://www.livejournal.com/paidaccounts/). You can set your posts as Private, accessible only to specified Friends, or open to the Public.
