Hi Everyone
Just thought I'd let you know how I'm feeling today...absolutely bricking it to say the least :eek :eek
Well we received a call last week from NZIS to say we had been granted PR...yipee!! then on Friday 29th had a call to say our passports were ready for collection...fab!!(we will collect them in person 02/11/04) :raebanana :raebanana then later on in the day found out there is STILL a dispute between our solicitors and our purchaser's solicitors regarding a tiny bit of land at the bottom of our property which they are calling no-mans land, and as to who owns or has rights to this land!! anyway to cut an extreeeeeeeeeeeeeemly long story short, our purchasers are not interested in pursing a claim to this land, it is not in the boundary, but STILL their solicitors wish to make a blimmin mountain out of a mole hill, and so further delay the exchange date of our contracts!!!!!!!!!!!! :uhoh :uhoh soooooooo, deciede we need to take action!!
Last nigt Pete and I decided that as we're waiting so long to get an exchange date, and with December flight dates slowly disappearing before our very eyes, we decided we need to book our flights and work backwards from there...and that's what I did today!! OH FLIPPIN ECK...REALLY DONE IT NOW!!!! :eek :eek :eek :eek :eek
SO we are booked to fly out of Heathrow with Singapore Airlines on the 11th Dec 18.15 flight to Singapore and then board the second leg at 21.00 to Auckland arriving on 13th Dec...
Actually feel much better in some ways, as at least we have 6 weeks to get everything sorted now!! :nice1 instead of waiting for that all important exchange date and everyone put pressure on to complete in 2/3/4/weeks time and us start really panicking and probably forgetting to do some of the most important things!!!
So are we mad or what??? Big gamble I know as can't even guarantee we will exchange with this chain as is...but I guess this whole thing/move is a gamble so just another one to throw in the pot!! (but let's just hope it pays off eh??!
Anyway tomorrow is the start for me to really get my kiwi head on and focus on getting everything ready for our move in 6 weeks. Pete came home from work tonight and said ' oh told everyone when were flying on the 11th Dec' their response was ' great when's the p*** up gonna be...GONNA SHAVE YOUR EYEBROWS OFF...Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha'
Pete is 43, and works with ages between 20-60...do they ever grow up...more's the point..if they're threatening that to him sober...what the hell amd I gonna end up with on the actual night??????? :eek
