Hi Smiler,

thought i would post on a fresh thread.

My first day was great, the folks at Parks Operations were all nice and friendly..I said I apologise in advance for forgetting everyones name by the morning!

I can remember the boss (important!) Jan who I am replacing and also her partner Chris who works as a leading hand on one of the crews.

there are a few women on the crews too, so I won't be the only gal at smoko... :D

the work is similar to my old job, so I should be ok, but Jan leaves friday, so I better learn quick!! :laugh

It is also a good way of learning how much goes into the care and upkeep of the parks and reserves around here.

so I am glad that I got this job and said no to the IRD one, its much more my style, and i will be able to forget about it when I go home :nice1

thanks for asking...

Kat

Ooooh I've only just seen this sorry Kat :o

Glad to hear it went well. Sounds less stuffy than the IRD one?

How was it by the end of the week, do you remember their names yet?:laugh

Glad it's gone well, Kat. That's one thing that terrifies me - I haven't worked for nearly a year since I went on maternity leave. The thought of starting a new job after so long in my old job, especially in a different country.. the thought makes me shudder. Think I'll just have to be a sahm a bit longer. Hope all's well and you're enjoying your first well deserved weekend.

Kate
