Hi all!

An odd question. My 4 year old has requested that I "ask the New Zealand guys if they have carvel in NZ" He means Ice cream cakes (with no cake in them) - for birthdays we get them from carvel, brusters or dairy queen.

My bunch really loves their ice cream! So while I'm asking....what brands are in the stores there,with lots of flavors & quality ingredients? Here we have bryers, mayfield & blue bunny....yum thinking about it! :laugh

i grew up in NZ & ice cream birthday cakes were pretty popular , I 'm reasonably sure I saw them on my last trip over but not 100 %

Yes I have seen them - at a shop called Wendys - seen them in most of the malls in Christchurch - so guess they are everywhere!

I've also been looking for an ice cream cake in Auckland and haven't found one yet. I've heard a rumour about a place in Botany. Does anyone know a place in Auckland?
