Folks,

I was beginning to do some investigations on building a new home in NZ and I'm trying to figure out the administrative process and tasks that need to be followed.

Has anyone actually been through the process of building a new home in NZ and have a general idea of the process?

I rang the free phone number and asked them to send me the free literature on building and also renovating, it arrived yesterday and it has some good information and goes through the steps of how to build etc.

(after seeing some of the houses for sale in NZ, we are seriously thinking of building too, but this leaky building stuff that has been in the papers lately also gives you concerns!)
