Lecturer - Radio Broadcasting
New Zealand Broadcasting School
You are a respected radio broadcasting professional looking for a change.
The New Zealand Broadcasting School in Christchurch is looking for someone to teach radio in the School's degree programme, and assist in ongoing development and design of programme content.
The School is a highly respected provider of media training and education based at CPIT, the largest South Island Polytechnic and one of the biggest in New Zealand.
The person we want will have wide practical radio experience and preferably a tertiary qualification with some teaching experience. Certainly youll be the kind of person who relishes the idea of passing on your current skills and experience to others.
You'll need to work creatively and enthusiastically and cope with the practical day-to-day demands of operating a commercial radio station. And then you need to cope with administrative demands and have the ability to work flexibly in circumstances which place unusual stresses on both tutors and students.
There's a very close relationship between the School and the radio broadcasting industry. This person will also help to maintain that relationship and develop it further.
The NZBS is a challenging educational environment. This is a rare opportunity.
