We are booking our medicals and would like to know how long they take - will I need a full day off work, just a half day or can we get it done in an hour or so?
Thanks

When I did mine in Wellington it took under an hour for the medical (though that was with no significant medical problems - the more you have the longer it will take), then I was given referals for blood test and x-ray to make appointments when convenient for me, none of which took very long.

We went to Dr. Millions in Manchester and due to the fact that they do the medicals, the blood tests and the x-rays all at the same time, I would be inclined to take the day off.
Obviously of course, this depends on the time of your appointment and how many is in your family.
If you get a 9a.m. appointment, you could very well be out a couple of hours later, but I had to be x-rayed twice as there was something wrong with the plate on the first x-ray, so allow for contingencies.

We were lucky that our own cdoctors were panel docs and therefore only round the corner. Me and kev had ours done one day took about 2 hours with the x-rays (they had to be done at bupa 10 mins away) the 3 boys all had theres together the next day and that took about an hour.
Good luck!

Hi
There is 5 of us, and we were booked in at 9am, had our medicals, x-rays and bloods done all at the same time, took around half a day, we were home by just after lunch. To be on the safe side, I would book a whole day off so if there are any delays or hiccups you are not worrying about being late to work.
Hope they go ok for you

We had our x-rays done at Kingston Hospital - took about an hour because we had to wait.
Went to the doctor later that afternoon and for 2 adults it took 50 minutes.

We are going to book the day off just in case of delays,, can always amuse ourselves in Manchester if we finish early.
Many Thanks
