Hi All,

Not been on for a little while - it is now August and this is offically the month we head off to NZ - 26th to be precise.

Stress levels are running high and seem to be in direct relation to adrenalin and wine!

House sale still not completed the best we can hope for is for exchange before we fly out so that give us at least a little bit of financial security if it does not complete (have just read OwensClan post and that filled me with terror!) - but exchange or not, we are outta here :exit

We have another 5 days, then fly off for a 2 weeks pre-NZ decsion holiday with friends (Aaarrrrggh!) - then back for a week to incorporate packing up the house, 3 leaving do's and a Rolling Stones gig then of to Heathrow on 26th. Arrive NZ on 29th. Sorry to bore you all but cannot see the wood for the trees at the moment and need to get it written down for some clarity!

All you North Shore's (present and future) please keep in touch as I will need some social sustenance!

All for now folks

Enjoy your holiday Nanny and try to de-stress.

I know it's hard, but we had a week away (before I cracked up completely !) and when we came home, I felt ready to fight another day.

The 26th will come and you'll have done everything that needs to be done, so worrying about it now won't help.

Go for it girl - you CAN do it.

Thinking of you Lyn,

Julie

Hi Nanny

I think the holiday is a good idea. We ended up going to Rome for 5 days in the middle of frantically organising our move to NZ as our house sale actually went ahead unexpectedly at the last minute (we were getting the house ready to remarket at the time). Now settled in NZ we look back on those days in Rome very fondly - a week of sanity amongst the insanity of the move.

Have a fab hol. Look forward to meeting you when you get to Auckland. :raebanana

Ohhhhhhhhhh Nanny have a lovely holiday and return to packing with renewed enthusiasm, exceptionally low stress levels around your ankles and a decent cab sav running in your veins.

When the 26th arrives that's it, no looking back and worrying about it. :nice1

Enjoy your holiday and Mick and Co. They were fab here. :clap Are you going to Twickers?

Hi Nanny

Don't worry about the house , it will sort it self out. We moved prior to selling our house and still everything went well, we signed as much as we could before we left the UK and left the house in the hands of the estate agent :uhoh . Sold on the day we landed and although took a while to complete, we are here, have now brought in North Shore and are beginning to experience true kiwi life.

Good luck, ejoy your hols.

Sue :)

Hi Nanny

Where are you going on holiday? Or did I miss that one. Have a lovely time. I wish we had done that, my OH and I are at each other all the time, unless we are in different rooms etc. which normally we never are. The pressure is so great can't wait to get on the plane and sleep. I have actually lost half a stone in 2 weeks! So I know exactly how you feel.

But we have turned a corner this week, being our last. 5 days to go, I think I have given up worrying now. Or maybe my cycle is in a better phase ha ha. :laugh We are off to the solicitors today to find out if we can legally do the deal we want with our buyer, talk about leave it until the last minute. What will be will be. I'm sure you will find you have completed before you need to have the money. Lets hope the exchange rate stays in your favour for long enough.

Wishing you a lovely holiday with a large glass of wine. :cheers

Angela

Hi All and thanks.

Zardell - will catch you on MSN again if I ever get to sit down long enough!

Kiwideds - Get that corkscrew ready!

Smiler - yes Twickenham, bit before my time ;) but want to see them before one of them pops thier clogs!

thomas family - HI! Have PM'd you about North Shore.

Angelaonthemove - phew! That was relief about you and your OH at each other all the time - I thought it was just us! OH gave up smoking 2 months ago too so all in all the lack of nicotine and the immenent move are making for a family of short-fused terriers all answering to the name of Snapdragon.

Know I will spend the first few days in Spain worrying about what I could be doing at home but going to take a shed full of books and try to forget.

Thanks All

A week to go Nanny,
Hang on in there. I know what it's like we leave in 19 days and everyone keeps asking me 'are you excited ? are you nervas?' All I feel is exhasted. I can't wait to get on that plane and sleep and have 26 hrs with nothing to arrange, no phone calls to make, nothing to cancil....
If you don't get a chance to post again before you go, have a safe journey. See you on the other side sometime soon I hope.
Debbie
