I'm sure that this question must have been asked before, but can't seem to find the exact answer I'm looking for.

When we submitted our EOI, neither of us had a job offer...to be honest we had not really been looking.

Now we are about to submit our ITA we have been doing a lot of networking with various businesses in NZ and have had quite a bit of interest.
We are going out in September and have a few meetings and interviews lined up.

My question is, if we show we have a lot of interest.....you never know may even get a job offer :p , will we get offered a WTR instead of PR?

Obviously we would prefer to be offered PR :D

We were just wondering what other peoples experiences had been?

Hi H & Rick,

You can apply for the PR and once you get a job, all you have to do is fax the offer over to your Immigration Officer and he/she will issue a Work Permit and carry on with the PR process on the top of that.

Good luck!

HI i got PR without a job. I saved all my emails and letters from prospective employers ready to show at my immigration interview, thinking i would have a face to face . As it turned out i had a phone interview and i just name dropped all the companies i had been in touch with and offered to send copies of my correspondence. Most of the companies at least sent me an e mail saying come and see us when you get to NZ and i think that you just need to get as many of these as you can. This shows the case officer you have been trying and you have some interest.I thought that i would be offered WTR and was overjoyed when i was told i had PR. If you want any more info Pm me . Cheers Cardy :)
