Hi All

Can anyone tell me what the standard is for Rust.

We've just spent the last 2 days sorting out all the tools in the garage into Chuck it , Sell it, Keep it piles , and trying to remove any rust on the keep it stuff,
Can anyone please tell me how much rust you can get away with.
Are they just looking for really rusty things with holes in or any rust whatsoever.

Theres just a few specks here and there left on the keep it pile but OH is still worried that they wont pass muster, :uhoh

Has anyone had any problems with MAF.

Help

I don't no if rust is a problem they never inspected any of my tools. But bring everything over, leave nothing you will regret it, I know I have.

Our petrol lawn mower had quite a bit of rust underneath, and MAF did not bat an eyelid, they are more worried about seeds/plant matter and mud, so as long as they are clean and you wire brush off the loose rust so nothing can hide underneath it, you should be fine.

should have added, you could always pop a coat of hammerite on top once its clean, it will look like new then too..:yes

I sprayed all the garden tools with hammerite, but gave the rest of the tools just a good clean. Some of it was quite rusty but the MAF lady said it was fine.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Ill tell oh to stop fretting.

We're not taking any garden machinery we've sold it to the house buyers,no room in the container for sit on mower, and will not be having a garden this big again thats for sure.

Thats another box ticked, camping stuff next .

:cheers

I've seen several posts about MAF concerns about Christmas decorations. What are they concerned about?
