I can't believe it, but finally I've got in my hand my passport with PR and RRV blue stickers in it.
From being told initally by an emigration consultant that I didn't have enough points to even fill in the EOI, to numerous visits and emails to NZIS over everything from what points could I claim for, to their ignorance on the registration process for pharmacists. Then to be told I would only get a work permit along with a list of criteria I had to meet before I could be upgraded to PR.
Well I've persevered, I got a job, completed my required 3 months full time work, saved all my pay slips, got a letter from my employers saying I was still employed, and proof of my Pharmacists registration and sent it all back to London a month ago. Then today when checking our PO box, there it was the much awaited passport (and ironically a leaflet entitled 'Your First Weeks In NZ').
To all those going through the agonising waiting and gathering of info, I'd say stick with it, you'll get there in the end. It's worth it.
