Hi all,
My name is Paul; and I'm in the process of applying for my PR. I'm located in Wellington; however, I can't splurge loads of money. Does anyone know of a local doctor or place to get my medicals done at a reasonable price? can I do it separately, and go to the radiologist for my xrays and the lab for my bloodtests? I know the doctor charges something like $100+ just for a phyisical, but if I already have everything wouldnt'that price go down?

Does anyone know?

We're in Welly too. I understand though that you can go to your GP for the medical etc. Have you looked on the NZIS website for docs and then call them for a comparison price?

I THOUGHT that all Doctors in NZ were recognised by NZIS - so it might just be worth looking in the White Pages and riniging round the local ones - tbh I'd be surprised if it differed that much

thanks for welcoming me to the forum. So this is going to be a stupid question, but I do just look under the white or yellowpages under general practioner and ask if they do a full body check up with x ray and blood tests?

If you just look at GPs, and explain what you want, there shouldn't be a problem
