Hi, can't find anything about this using search but it must have affected others.

My children are "dependent" ie fulfill every criteria at the moment and will through most of the process. But what happens if we get pr status and between that and us going out one leaves college and gets a job (still wanting to go to NZ btw)?

I suppose I'm asking do children need to be dependent just at the application and acceptance stages or right up to when they arrive in NZ?

I would say that you can only complete a form with the correct information at the time of completion. They will be able to see their ages etc and if they need clarification they will ask.

I'd go down the 'dependent' route if that's what they are on the day you send the full ITA back to NZIS.

All the best

I agree with Ria.

Solong as the info is correct at time of submitting paperwork everything will be ok. There is only one thing that can really change their (NZIS) minds in the time from putting the paperwork in and getting a decision to my knowledge and that is your health. If that changed dramatically, god forbid, you would have to notify them. I'm sure you'd be aware of that anyway.

Good luck

Agree with you lot above, we have one aged 20 and one aged 17 at time of application. They havent asked any details since giving us pr, and as another example, our 17yr old had his 18th birthday 1 week after submitting ITA, but they didn't ask for his police check as he was still only 17 when it was submitted. I'd stick to the info you give them at ITA, and wait to see if they ask for any updates :nice1

did I miss something? I had to get police checks for our 17yr old, but not Jason as he was 15? But I was not too bothered as they are the least expensive item to collect (other than birth certificates)

Jordon actually moved out, but only to the college digs, he was still on our application and has his blue ticket in his passport, and should...hopefully with the situation with the airports at the minute! be here in 4 weeks :nice1

Hi. thanks for all the advice. Three of my lot are not trouble, NZ is where they want to be. The other is threatening to walk out of school anytime and "getajob" mainly I think to get a better mobile!! Might have to get him one just to keep him sweet.

Ditto, we had to get a police check for Lauren and she was 17 at the time of application. It came through swiftly, and as you sat Kat, it was only £10.
Imogen didn't need one as she was 14 at the time.

Hi,

Tried to pm you but came up with the same error.

However it then redirected me to my pm page and although I had none unread, all yours were there.

Thanks a lot for the info, it was how I thought it might be, I'll pm you again, if you look in your box soon you should have it.

Thanks, Alan
