Okay, okay. I know very well that this forum has tried to piece together knowledge about this, but where are we with it?

The helpful EOI-processing-times sheet from the London office – and a recent post from a forum member -- indicates that the applicant’s country’s nearest office does indeed do at least some of the EOI checking, pre-ITA. That is, it isn’t all done in Wellington before it even gets to another office.

But a NZIS pie chart showing the EOI workload from an old August drawing shows about half a dozen world offices where the workload is being distributed, including NZ offices, London, Beijing, etc., but NOT including the Washington DC office.

We’re in the U.S.A. Now we’ve been selected, and if Wellington does only some (none?) of the early checking, where does our EOI go? Beijing? Singapore? London? Or does it go to Washington? Where do we USA folks get sent, and when?

Why wasn’t Washington on that pie chart? Because the number of US applicants is so small that it doesn’t show on Excel?

Sorry about all the question marks.

Matt.
