My brother has been thinking of following us out to NZ sometime next year. Providing we ever get there that is. :(
The problem is, he went bankrupt last year and was concerned that this will prevent him getting residency.
The firm he works for apparently has a branch in Aukland and he was hoping for a transfer.
Do you think he will have any problems and has anyone else had similar to deal with.

hi steve

if his firm has a branch in auckland, they could "sponsor" him, give him a job there and this he can work with in applying for the residence visa.

i think the only thing that's gonna be affected by his bankruptcy would be his settlement funds and migrant levies. but again, if he has a sponsor, he can waive this. and with PR visa, he doesn't have to have money to show.

how about you, what stage are you in now?

cheers
