I have been offered a job with a potential start date of November, in anyones experience is it realistic to expect to have a work visa for both myself and my fiancee in this time? In addition like many couples we dont have joint back accounts or mortgage has anyone else been in this position? We are trying to get an idea of what else we can do to prove we have been together for the last three years!

to prove you have been together you can show that your (separate) bank statements are sent to the same address - thats what we had to do as the house etc is in my name.

my understanding is that work visas are pretty quick - i don't think you'll have any trouble with a november start date at all.

No - we got permanent residency rather than a work visa but even with that if you have a job it all happens very quickly. So long as you have a job you should be able to get a work visa in a couple of weeks rather than months.
