we are corresponding with auckland schools and have twice been told pr processing times are now at 18 months. what is worse, '4 more years' or 18 months??? what happened to 4-6 months????

Who's told you 18 months? What category have you applied for PR under?

I'm being sponsored by Kiwi spouse, submitted application early September and received letter telling me that I would get PR (if everything went ok of course) within 3 months. I'm expecting it any time. Maybe I shouldn't rest on my laurels but 18 months sounds abit much to me.

Seems unlikely to me as well, especially as the new system has only been in place about 10 months and quite a few have already been granted PR.

it was school admin (international dept) saying 18 months. will be much relieved if not true and post anything reliable.
