We finally received a reply from our case officer today. We got residency :laugh .
We are now in the process of getting flights (think we will use singapore airlines) and arranging the shipping company to come in.
We sold our house three weeks ago and should be signing the contracts in a couple of weeks. I have about two weeks left to work, And I cant be bothered going in anymore. My new company in NZ have been brilliant they have put no pressure on us to move down.
My wife's mum died quiet suddenly last Sunday, we will be cremating her tomorrow so we cant celebrate yet about the visas. My gran died a few months ago and that was hard for me to take. Next week a Pakistani family will be moving into her house so I cant go round anymore.
What I'm trying to ramble on about is no matter how much crap life throws at you, just dust your self down and get on with it. :cheers

Oh Matt, it's hard to know which to say first, condolances to you and your family or big congratulations.
What I'm trying to ramble on about is no matter how much crap life throws at you, just dust your self down and get on with it. :cheers
That's the best attitude to have, wishing you all the best in the coming weeks,
Gil

Matt Sorry to hear your sad news, it must be really hard at the moment, when you feel like something you have worked so hard to get is finally acheived and you can't feel happy. But your mum in law would be over the moon for you and your family. She'll be watching and wishing you well I'm sure.
Hope the next few weeks go as smoothly as possible for you all.
Big {{{{{{{ Hugs }}}}}}} to you all.
And you have to have some of these for getting your visas! :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana

Hi Matt,
Sorry to hear your bad news mate. You are right of course, - you have to be stong and dust yourself off, but crikey, this is hard on you, and shows that you are as strong as they come. (i know your emigration has had it's fair share of stresses too). For what it's worth I think your attitude is a real help to others.
It doesn't seem long ago, since we sat at NZ house last year just wondering where to start :uhoh and already you have NZ just a few weeks around the corner (me too sept 8th).
If ever you need a holiday up in Northland just let me know, seroiusly, I owe you a beer or three, for your for inspiration alone :nice1 Hang in there buddy.

Matt
I'm sorry to hear the news about your Mum in law too. What a difficult thing to cope with at this time.
Your attitude says heaps about you and how well you deal with things. Good luck to you all over the next few weeks.
You can look at these banana's when you feel it's appropriate to celebrate :raebanana:raebanana:raebanana
