Do I need to get police clearance from all countries I have lived in? eg. I lived in Australia for 13 months in 1998-1999 on a student visa. Do I need a police clearance certificate from there? Thank you all for creating such a nice informative forum. I will look forward for putting more queries in the coming time...

Looks like you will need a police certificate from Australia:

"You must obtain these from your country of citizenship or any country that you have lived in for over 12 months in the last 10 years" -- NZ Immigration Website http://glossary.immigration.govt.nz/Policecertificates.htm
