Hi,
I am just looking for some people to share their experiences on going through the WTR to PR conversion.
I applied for PR around Dec 2005 through NZIS Singapore. Got a WTR visa instead so I came over to NZ around early May of this year. Landed a job (am in IT) and have been happily working here for over 3 months now.
Just a couple of days back, re-submitted my application for PR with all the required documents. I thought it would just be like a 2-3 weeks affair to get my PR approved.
My contact officer emailed me to say she received my documents and is currently waiting for my file from Singapore before assigning another case officer to my case. And the whole process will take another 2-3 months. :wah
Does it always take that long?
It seems as if I am redoing the entire PR application again, even after jumping through all the hoops set by NZIS.
