Flight costs vary depending on a number of factors including seat availability, time of booking, flexibility for changes, route etc.

The only way to obtain accurate pricing is to go through an agent who tend to have greater access to the different fares. Bear in mind that there are different levels of flexibility as well e.g fully flexible (any change including for a no show, no cost) and limited flexibility (advance notice and incur an admin charge). The greater the flexibility, ther greater the cost.

We booked ours online with Singapore airlines. They say that there is no charge for Krisflier members (their own online club) so i registered as a member before booking. As I sit here now, we have 3 days left to complete the house sale on Friday 1st (but still not heard from buyers solicitors  ), and we fly in a week on 6th sept. If i have to change flights i will post how i get on

Hi,
We are flying with Air NZ and have booked for 16th Sept. We were told that we could change flights for a admin charge of £20 each (and there are 6 of us !). We hope to complete on house day before we leave - know how you feel - tension is rising with each passing day. Best of luck,
Tracey

We came over here with Singapore Air and had to change the dates of our departure - due to house not completing in time (is there ever any other reason). We were able to do this at no extra charge at all.

Also, when I went home in April I had to change my return flight (only by a day) - this time I flew with Emirates and again, there was no extra cost.

Thank you all so much, a little less stress being felt today. I'm going to book the flights! :)
