Awhile back someone sent me a cost analysis spreadsheet detailing how to ship your pet to NZ without using a pet transporter. Air New Zealand told me that's not possible. If you're coming from the States you must use a professional pet transporter. Is that true? Has anyone from the States done it themselves?

It's true, you must use a pet exporter due to post-9/11 restrictions.
