Hi, just another quick question on baggage allowance- I have read on Singapore Airlines website about the baggage allowance in Kilos, but does anyone know if there is a restriction on the amount of bags? for example, if a person had two cases each but their total weight was within the maximum allowed per person, would this be ok? I would ask SIA but by the time they got back to me we would be in NZ! (shippers coming tomorrow so packing our cases tonight!!

As long as you're within your weight limit, I don't think it matters how many bags you have - does it ??
We have never used the very big cases and have always had a least 2 cases each. Never been queried.
Good luck with the shippers........

Some airlines specify the number of bags that you can have I believe.

Your ticket will advise if it is a weight concept (normal worldwide) or piece concept (USA). Based on SAA Economy - with piece you will have 2 cases with max weight of 32kg each, a total 64kg whereas with weight you will be resticted to a total of 20kg across a number of cases. Hope this helps & not too late. Good luck.

We brought 7 cases, 4 hand luggage, and a large holdall. Could only go to the max of 30kg, but we did go over, and Elaine flipped when we realised it was mine:D
