I was granted Perminant Residence in 2004 under the Partnership Policy. I currently hold a RRV which expires in November 2006. I am struggling to know at this point if it is possible for me to be in New Zealand before it expires. If I cannot enter New Zealand before the RRV expires, what are my options? Do I have to apply for residency all over again?

adam, think this is a matter to go to the immigration service with. theres not enough time left there to leave it to chance.

If you enter NZ before your RRV expires you'll be fine. Your issue may be if you plan to leave NZ at all in the first year of being back, as they may question you commitment to NZ - but I think you'll be issued a 1yr RRV.
