After a hell of a week the estate agent has just rang and the couple have come back with the original offer and are going to instruct their solicitor on monday. They have already completed on their property so hopefully will be on my way soon.
Also had my medical back and have everything to submit my residency application so am going to go down to NZ house in the week. Anyone else going to NZ house next week? My case officer told me to ring her on monday to arrange to go down.
All the best to everyone trying to sell their house lets hope that we will all soon be going.

We have just joined the emotional roller coaster ride - otherwise known as.. trying to sell the house.

We have had our ITA for about a week now, medicals booked for next monday, police checks requested two weeks ago. My hubbies employer in NZ is keeping the job open till the end of Feb at the latest.

The pressure is on to sell the house asap. Had 2 viewings, no offers - been on market for just over a week (but seems an eternity)

At first I hated the thought of strangers poking around my house, judging it. Now I am thinking... come on, poke away.

Keeping the house spick n span for viewings with 2 kiddies and a dog is a nightmare.

Good luck to everyone who is in the process of trying to sell up.

We have a very expensive bottle of N>Z wine - waiting to be opened when contracts are exchanged :)

Join the club!!! There's a heap of us on this forum who are trying to sell houses at the mo.

It's a pain in the butt to be honest. Ours has been up for 9 weeks, had 5 viewers but that's it. Did have an offer which got us slightly animated - u ntil they told us that there house wasn't even on the market and they were 'just testing the water' ...... :wah

We've now taken it away from the agent and are having a go at selling it ourelves, it's worth a go i guess.
