Hi all,
just a quick post to say here we are camping downstairs at my mum's house, waiting for our minibus to manchester airport at 530 in the morning.
Took a long time and lots of effort to get this far, and we Definitely wouldn't have got this far without the help of all the people on this forum. So just wanted to say Thanks to all of you :nice1
and will speak to you next on Friday night from NZ
Oh yeah- been dying to use this little blue bloke for real for a year so here he is :exit :laugh

Thanks to everyone for the good luck's. :nice1
The flights were ok, not ad bad as we thought they would be, and we definitly recommend a stop in the transit hotel at singapore airport, where the rooftop pool and gym are all free, and we had a good 8hrs sleep in between flights too!
We landed at Auckland in a massive 500 seat Boeing747, then transferred to a 16 seat "plane" (more like a Ford Transit with wings) for a 25min hop up to Whangarei airport- talk about extremes! And Whangarei airport terminal is about the size of a village petrol station.
We got the keys to our rental (the kids said it looks like a static caravan :laugh ), which is nice but empty, and spend the next few days buying beds etc so we can move in, and so far thats about it- oh and a McDonalds meal deal is called a Combo here.
Raining now, but gotta say- ITS GOOD TO BE IN NZ!

Yay, you made it in one peice, sorry we could not keep the rain away for you, but its will be sunny again soon, promise!
Have fun settling in, and the kids are right, some of the houses do look like static caravans!
