I currently live in the US and plan on moving to NZ soon...and one of things that is so attractive to me is the active geology of the region. Since I have a degree in Earth Science and I teach it over here, I'm wondering what types of programs and classes you kiwis have over there?
One would think that a subject like geology would be heavily covered because it is such a major force that shapes both islands. Mountain building, earthquakes, volcanos, tsunamis, you name it and its all in NZ.
Is Earth Science a large part of NZ school curriculum?
