Has anyone any experience of shipping small amounts, we have a box 2 come over from the UK, weight 32kgs 132cm x 50 x 43. Any ideas please!!!!! And any companies we can contact!!!

If you're not in a rush, your best bet is to see if you can find anyone shipping out a container you can but it in.

I've used seven seas to get stuff sent over to me - I can't remember off-hand how much, but it was less than 100 pounds for two boxes of books and other assorted junk by sea. (About 3 months to deliver.)

I can't remember their website, but a google search should find them easily enough.

I used www.worldbaggage.com to get what would have been excess baggage from Sydney to Auckland and they were very good. You can choose air or sea and as the name suggests they collect/deliver worldwide.

Hi westies

I'm in the middle of looking at this myself at the moment. Prices seem to be around 80 - 150 GBP for the first box (door-to-door) and then about 40 - 50 GBP for each box after that. This is for tea chest size boxes: 61 x 51 x 41 cms or about 4.5 cubic feet (I think!). Some companies will charge extra for collecting your box from outside the M25. You might want to start by looking at Allfrieght.co.uk, or PSS.uk.com - they seem to be among the most reasonable I've found so far, especially if your box is to be collected from London.

cargobookers are a good company too, and they supply the first 8 boxes for £10 courier fee
