Hi all (ok time for post no2!)
Still very early days these so probably fairly basic questions here probably but what are the rules around shipping over belongings and taxes on it.
From reading other threads I get the impression that as an immigrant the GST / taxes etc are waved but for how long - just the main shipment or can you do several shipments over a period of time
What about if you buy something new before coming - what happens then? For instance on other threads I've seen reccomendations to buy TV's / white goods / or generally most major purchases over here (UK) because they would be cheaper than buying tin NZ - but can you get away with this?
