Hi,
can you assist me with the following:
If I submit an EOI and get accepted from the pool, for example in the next month, but I was not wanting to move until July ish next year, is that a problem or does it take that long to sort everything out and move anyway?? Is there a "deadline" that someone has to move to NZ by once the EOI has been accepted (or once PR has been accepted)??
Any advice would be appreciated on this matter
Thanks
Nick

they still have to verify your EOI after being selected. it will take maybe 2 to 3 months (im not sure). if everything is okay, they will send you the PR. i think you have 4 months to decide whether to continue or not...

You have 1 year to enter NZ from the date you recieve your residents visa. You must have entered NZ by then. Of course you can then leave and return using your Returning residents visa

Time taken to move seems to depend on the possession of a job offer or not. There is another thread that indicates that applications without an offer may take 6 - 9 months to get processed!! (Can't remember the thread yet, sorry). Seems thatt they are overwhelmed and are giving priority to those who have a position to go to.
Cheers,
Mark. :D

Ok found it, from the "EOI 100 is the new point thread":
"Without a job offer this EOI is one of around 400 EOI that have not yet been allocated to staff.
We have an additional 100 with job offers which are being given priority ie we are being allocated these first.
We have NO idea how long it will be before we get to the EOI's without job offers. Staff members are guessing and I stress guessing 6-9 months because it is mandatory that EVERY single applicant needs to be interviewed as part of the application process."
Hmmmm.

So, can one assume that, if you get a job offer whilst your application is being processed that they would move you up the list??
