this is going to seem like a really odd question..but do you think ill have trouble bringing herbal tea in my luggage? i have a tea that i drink all the time but that i dont think ill be able to get back home. i have the box open already but the tea bags are individually packaged.i was going to pack them in the boxes that im sending home but i wouldnt see it for three weeks because i am going to be visiting family in aussie first.
what do you think i should do? i was thinking of having them in my hand luggage so if they wanted to look at them i could explain what they are..if they were in my checkin luggage id say those wee packages would arouse some sort of suspicion!!
apologies for the random question, im a bit stressed out with all the packing etc and the smallest things are wrecking my wee head!! :(
thanks for any help you can give..

I'd take them in your hand luggage if you're concerned. I'm sure it'll be fine. You can also have a cuppa on the plane :D
Family that has come over has bought back packs of bread sauce and taken in hand luggage - no-one wanted little packs of white powder in their cases .. funnily enough! :laugh
Which tea is it, they have a huge variety here.

I'd definately say put it in your hand luggage. As long as you are upfront and declare everything you'll be fine.
Make sure all the packs are sealed, they get abit edgy if there are any open packs (guess something could esily be slipped in).

yeah, i think i might. saves my belongings being on display at customs!! im more worried cause im going to perth first which is renowned for their strictness at customs (watching "border patrol" freaked me out!!!)..my parents gave me a warning that it can take a while to get through anyway so i dont want to make it any worse!! :)
well, they are a slimming tea which was made famous by one victoria beckham (yeah, like she needs it!!) and it can be expensive if you're not careful and buy it in some boutique somewhere. (thank god for ebay) so i doubt i would be able to find it back home for a decent price. i am looking forward to the better choice of herbal teas!

im definately putting it in my handluggage now. dont want to even tempt anything happening!!
the box that they came in is open, as is the foil that the wee tea bags are in, but the teabags themselves are all seperately wrapped so id say ill be ok? definately going to declare them cause it'll show ive nothing to hide i hope?
