Hey Everyone

We have a friend coming over to see us at Christmas and are already getting some plans together for her stay. We know we are going to take her down to Wellington, stopping off at all the usual places and then over to South Island. But between Christmas Day and New Years eve we were going to spend the time around here and head up to the Bay of Islands. I visited about 10 years ago and can't remember much!

Does anyone know any good things to do up there? Which are the best Islands to see? Is there somewhere to hire a motor-boat? Places to stay?

We have checked out the 101 Kiwi things to do on the AA website and it doesn't give great detail, so thought you guys might be able to help?!

Cheers
JSG
