for a stepson who is not going to live in NZ. My friend and her family are moving but her stepson is staying in the UK with his mum. Does he need a medical? She filled in her EOI on line and there was nowhere for her to apply for him on the form but in her ITA she has been sent the forms to fill in for him. If he isn't going why would she have to fill in an application form for him?

from what I have read on the NZIS website, you only fill in a "Child Supplement Expression" for those children that will be coming with you to NZ

On the main form you only fill in their basic details, as you do with parents and siblings

Really not sure on this one Nicola, but is it something to do with enabling him to come over later if he/they want to?

We have the same situation. They wont have to fill out a child supplement form for him, but it is worth giving his details in their family section in case they want to sponsor him to come over at a later time. When people apply for this NZIS do a "family cross check" and members of the family wishing to come over MUST be mentioned in the original application.
