Do you know - I've just had an idea! I've spent literally the whole day clearing out paperwork ready for when we move, (as we've managed to sell the house), and have been feeding bits of paper into our wobbly old shredding machine for the last 3 hours. Now this is a boring job, as you might imagine, and I found myself wondering what I might do with so much shredded paper................a wig, stuffing for the dog bed, etc..............and then I thought - hang on a minute! I don't need to spend a fortune on bubble wrap - I can recycle the last 10 years' worth of bills and bank statements!! So I shall use it in my packing boxes!!
I was really pleased with myself - I don't get ideas very often - not useful ones anyway! So, I hope it helps someone out there making the move. If not, just humour me.................

what a shame!

our budding pyro maniacs have been burning our old paper work this weekend. What is it with boys and fires?? :laugh

Cracking idea Katiejay! It put me in mind of those columns in Woman's Weekly and the like, you know, "Ladies, don't throw away your old cooking foil, greaseproof paper or husbands. Wash and dry it and you can re-use it happily and save......well......pennies" :laugh
Love the idea though!

I know exactly what you mean! They lurk waiting for the only 4 days of summer when we actually get some sunshine and can dry the washing outside and then they strike!!
I'm trying to be green, by not using the dishwasher anymore and particularly avoiding the tumble dryer, and old Guy Fawkes at the end of my garden is determined to turn the East Coast into the industrial Black Country......... :wah

See, now, my last post doesn't actually make alot of sense as Gil's pipped me at the post. I was referring to bonfires - not husbands. My husband doesn't lurk. I might try the washing tip, though - maybe he'll scrub up like Johnnie Depp with the right detergent!!
Marvelous!! :nice1
