When we applied for a PO Box at our local Post Shop they told us that they were all taken. We rejected offers for a Box at neighbouring Post Shops because we didn't want to drive 10-15 to collect mail.
Now the good bit - we were then told that we could just get our mail addressed to ourselves at Post Shop & marked c/o Counter Mail. There is no charge and you just walk up to counter and ask for your mail. :nice1
Judging by the amount of mail held in the sorting box it seems quite popular despite not being advertised.
