After a 30hour flight and 2 days later (with time difference) we arrived in Auckland. :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana What a trip is was. We flew Air Emirates and to be honest if you have kids...MAKE SURE you confirm everything a couple of the times with the airline before hand. After confirming Lloyds Child meal before we left South Africa, we were told "sorry, no more kids meals"....so for Lunch and dinner he had cream crackers and cheese. When we landed in Dubai I managed to confirm the kIds meal for the rest of the journey...mind you cannot complain to much as we had 97kg of luggage and didn't get any complaints...hahaha.
Ok..so we arrived in Auckland...what a beautiful country...everything is so clean and fresh. We spent the weekend driving around the surrounding suburbs, looking at the schools and pricing cars.
This week we have to find a house to rent, as the schools start on the 9th of October, and they will only enrol your child if you have a rental agreement proving that you live in the schools zone...so house hunting we go.
My OH started his new job on Monday in Auckland CBD...and is now getting used to the bus service this side until we have found the car we are looking for.
And for those of you from South Africa....it is amazing...soooo safe. The Parks are amazing. On every corner there is a sports field, playground, etc. You can take long leisurely walks and feel safe.
Think I am still on a high for all that surrounds me...unfortunately soon, once Lloyd is settled at school, it'll be my turn to job hunt...but loving it for the moment.
Just a little update to let you all know that we have arrived
Ian, Candice and LLoyd
