We thought it was about time we introduced ourselves.
We have been reading with interest different threads in regards to Immigration to New Zealand.
I am a New Zealand citizen and my husband is a native born Texan.
We intend on returning to New Zealand to live permanently next year,
and will be applying for PR for my husband under the Partnership category.
No doubt we will have loads of questions to ask in this forum.

Cheers,
Suzanne and Ron.

Mexican in NZ...

Many thanks for your reply...It is good to know the staff at the NZ Consulate in LA are a great bunch.
Did you request your application form from that office? We will be applying for PR for my husband under the Partnership Category since I am a New Zealand Citizen.

Hi there Suzane and Ron!
I did apply there but, since i was comming to new zealand almost right away the sonsultant told us we should apply here as soon as we arrive, and he gave me a work permit under the partnership category too as my husband is a kiwi. If you are planing to come to NZ soon i will say you do the same as i did, so your husband can get a work visa by partnership category just for him to be able to come on a one way ticket. After you arrive you should have all the paperwork already sorted out just to apply. My residence here was accepted in less than 5 months.
Wish you all the luck,
Adriana and Anton

Welcome! We love questions here, as it gives us something to do while we wait and wait to get there ourselves! Also, the search feature is excellent, if you haven't already tried it for some answers.

I can't imagine anything more different from Wellington- how did you end up in Dallas?

Greetings to you in Dallas from a Texan living in Wellington. I was born and raised in Dallas! We recently received permanent residency in NZ and arrived here in Wellington a week ago! Best of luck in your application. Have some good mexican food for me, and let me know if there are any good mexican places here~! :P
