I have two cat-shipping questions, hopefully someone's been through one or the other:
1. If a cat is mean, will that effect their immigration?
2. Can two cats travel in the same box and stay in quarantine together?

Cat 1 is mean to everyone but Steve, but he's loved her since he found her as a kitten in the gutter. She even hates my two cats; my cats love each other and they are the ones I'd like to see travel together. Please let me know!
Thanks'

I don't think that a cat being mean is a problem, provided that they are healthy and have had all of their tests and treatments.

As for traveling together, unless they are littermates, they have to travel alone, in separate carriers. There is too much chance of them attacking each other otherwise (esp. if one of them is "mean").

Finally, I would imagine that the quarantine restrictions would depend on the facility, but ours (The PussyCat Lodge) allowed our cats to be in quarantine together.

Hope this helps,
Jeff

The shippers I am dealing with (www.passportsforpets.co.uk) are happy for my two to go in together...

hmm....sounds like it depends on the company I choose! Thanks, you've both reminded me to ask alot of questions of the potential pet transporters and kennels!
Ana

btw, mean kitty would NEVER go in the same kennel as another animal!
