I know this might sound silly and I apologise for being so daft.
I have read all the posts re bugs etc which do not really bother me but can you tell me, is there a problem with mice.
We have three cats which you would think would eliminate any problem but all they do is bring them in the house then let them go.
I just scream when I see a mouse. At the moment Dave sorts them out but I will be on my own for the best part of a year in NZ and the thought of mice running around horrifies me.Maybe I should go to a phobia class.
you can tell I was not bought up in the country.

If it makes you feel better, I just scream when I see a bug...especially crickets, and Husband comes to take it away. If he's not around, I capture it under something.
However, I have no advice for mice. Sorry!

Caroline - I am exactly the same.... I know I have a real phobia problem with them.
The only way I have ever found to deal with it is to shout at them.
And I mean - really let rip - like
"**** off you little *******" at the top of my voice.
If you do it loud enough you can get them to die of heart failure and you feel SO much better!
:nice1 ;)
I would have to get someone to help me dispose of bodies if I was on my own though....

Carol- I figured out "****", but does "*******" start with a "B"? :p

ive not seen one yet, but we've just bought a cat anyway :laugh
what did freak me out is the first time I went into our garage, its a 60's house and the garage roof is just smothered in webs. I bought a bug bomb and let it rip. Went in there afterwards but couldnt see any dead spiders, just a huge wierd looking thing with thick legs. Freaked me out that one did. looked like a massive cricket, but one warped by radioactivity :exit

Yis there are mice !! our first night in the rental they came out to introduce themselves to us. We tried all sorts of bait on springloaded traps but they were real clever and could eat it without setting them off. We finally got some humane tunnel traps and caught the little B"£$%"s so i could get some sleep. We have two cats now!! Cheers Cardy :roll

Im trying that next time i see one of the little "darlings" (replace with whichever expletive you like)
We have had one or two! Just gotta put traps out and wait. I also use bait - cos they are not getting caught by the traps.
Apprently they are coming in out of the cold. Into a NZ house???????? Personly I thing NZ mice are crazy! Much warmer out in the sun.
