We have just booked our flights - leave the UK on the 20th Nov, woo hoo. But we have to have some insurance in place. I had a quick butchers on the net and found a few to literally cover u while we were in the air - £35 for two days cover.
Is this something I could get cheaper, has anyone else looked into this, is there such a thing as flight cover?
I know £35 is not a lot but I begrudge having to get it in the first place.

I don't beleive that insurance is compulsary when emigrating (please correct if wrong) so it's really up to the individual whether they want to take any risks & if so, what level.
Zardell pointed out http://www.go-walkabout.co.uk/emigrating.php in July which I used and could not be happier with how comprehensive it was. If I remember it was £85ish for 2 people UK to NZ and and extra £20ish for a stop over in Singapore. This policy covered all the usual medical & loss etc for the entire journey PLUS your first 17 days in NZ.
A warning to those thinking of using general annual worldwide policies - the small print will more than likely say that you can only claim once you have returned to the UK i.e. returned from your 'holiday'.
