Help, please. Has anyone else here sent cash (pounds sterling) through the post, to get their UK police paperwork? The Met says “we don’t recommend sending cash through the post” but doesn’t expressly forbid it.
If not – and esp. if you are outside UK – what did you do? Get an international money order drawn on UK bank? Or what?
Thanks,
Matt.

MB I am no british, but I would use other payment method. (probably the one that recommended by most instances). Sorry if this doesn't help, but that's what I'd do.

Hi Matt,
Presuming you're not living in the UK here (otherwise a cheque is fine!), but doesn't sound like it.
Perhaps...
1. Phone them up and ask!
2. Get a UK friend to do it for you. The form I filled in just requested name and address and signature. Fill this in and ask someone else to write a UK cheque for a tenner!
3. Go to a bank with a UK presence (E.g. HSBC) and get a bankers' draft.
But I'm not an expert...
