well, we've bought the tickets today. We're off...... 23rd November to Sydney for a weeks holiday with relatives, then to Roxburgh Central Otago for another holiday (6 weeks tee hee) with more relatives. Then take a tikitour up to Wellington for some job hunting (or working depending on how the expo in Earls Court goes!). We are a family of 2 and a toddler, I'm a Kiwi going back home, my husbands from England(Leicestershire), and we are looking forward to a better life in kiwiland. I've already posted a couple of threads, and had some fantastic feedback, its a really helpful website. We've booked the shippers (we're using Bargate from Northampton) and they arrive on the 26th October, our stuff is leaving early, so will stay at Dad in laws till 23/11. We couldn't sell the house, so we have rented it out to some friends, we'll come back in a couple of years and try and sell it again (hopefully). I've spent the last few days madly posting stuff on Ebay we are taking most stuff, but no harm in clearing out the old back cupboard. Looking forward to more advice from all!

Welcome to our fun place. So you are having a nice break before hitting the working trail,so good luck with that, as well as the job hunting.

Hi Lake Isle

Have a fabulous holiday and keep us posted with how all the job hunting etc goes. I did the same thing earlier this year - came 'home' from the UK with English Hubby (from Plymouth) and two kids after 9 years away. The family stuff is great and the kids are loving it here but Hubby and I are finding it alot harder to settle, but we're getting there.

Hi Kiwidebs, thanks for the post, I've also been away for 9 years!! What are you guys finding hard? Whats it like going back to a kiwi lifestyle after being in the UK for so long?

Hi Lake Isle

Welcome to the forum. We're also going down to the Expo in London to see what it has to offer - combining it with a trip down to see my sister-in-law and their new baby girl.

Good luck with everything and keep us up to date on your progress.
