Hi there
My sister's sister inlaw 33 years old(sorry mouthful that is!) - has just "moved" her to be with her kiwi partner, she is on a 6 month visitors visa - but is WANTING to get work here and look into staying long-term.
Any suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Assuming she's living with her partner, she should see whether it's possible to get a 6month working visa on grounds of her partnership, and after a year she can apply for residency on grounds of partnership.
Search this forum for "partnership" - there have been quite a few posts about this in the past.

We came on visitors visas Mel, if she can get an employer to give her a job and do the work visa paperwork she can easily get a work visa and then go about doing her Expression of Interest for residency when she's got the work visa - will give her a year / 2 yrs to sort all the partnership/visa requirements and give her a chance to see if she wants to be moved!
Hope that helps a little.. what does she do for a job?
