[Troubled in Auckland]

My partner and I are having relationship trouble and I really need somebody professional to talk to in Auckland. Can anybody provide a recommendation? I don't feel like I know any locals well enough to ask them for a recommendation and I don't want to just pick somebody randomly from the yellow pages.

I actually dont know of anyone but just wanted to offer some support. I know first of all that is tough to put personal info on a forum and that international moves create some strife in the best of relationships. Its not an easy ride!

I haven't used them but there is also http://www.relate.org.nz. I would approach them and explain the situation and maybe ask to meet someone first to see if you 'gel' with them or as Veronica says, ask you doc and explain your fears to them first.

Counselling is difficult enough, let alone if you don't get along with the counsellor.
