We are unsure if to ship our caravan over to NZ when we go.

Anything we should know before we decide re MAFF?
I did read some where you needed a special licence for a trailer?

If we sold our 2005 Bailey 6 berth we would get apx £9,000 here in the UK, though I have not seen many websites selling caravans in NZ, the ones we have seen have been in the region on $45,000 for a 1996??? So would make sence to take it with us.

Do you have any idea on how to ship a caravan and costs?

Any info we can gather would be fab.

PS: We will be inporting our 4x4 which we purchased in NZ to tow the caravan - so that is not an issue.

Thanks in advance

Jo

If it's not horrendously expensive to bring the caravan and you don't have to do much to comply with NZ road rules etc then I'd definitey bring it - they're very VERY expensive over here compared to UK.

There's this thread here which gives a little info http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6461&highlight=caravan

You could also PM Charlosparky. I don't know if he did bring his van after all?

Looking on TM and the roadside sales they do seem very expensive here.
