Its all gone a bit haywire now! Our friends were going to take Noodles the cat, (which I love to death and was very sad about leaving her) to getting a phone call today saying they can't have her! (They are expecting in March so, bit worried about baby/cat things - fair enough). So now, I've got to arrange for her to be shipped to Dunedin, (as I don't trust anyone else to look after her), we leave on the 23rd November so I'm flapping a bit. I've emailed Animal Airlines so hope a quote comes in soonish, I'm sure there will be a way to get her there, but the logistics of it all - well you know. I wasn't expecting it, and its thrown me of kilt! I'm trying to find a link to Golden Arrow, but can't find their web page, does anyone know it? I'd like to get at least a couple of quotes.

Golden Arrow don't have a website. Their tel no is 01588 680240. They seem very professional, i've just had a quote from them for sending my dog to Christchurch.

Good luck with the move.

Thanks! I've contacted them and 2 others, Animal Airlines have come in at £688 to date, we leave in 41 days! So cutting it a little fine, but spoke to Golden Arrow, they said it should be fine, so just waiting for the quotes, and then Noodles the cat will be on her way to Alexandra!

Golden Arrow were great with our dog 6 weeks ago,no probs at all, can't say there was anything negative, apart from the price!!!! It was n't cheap, but she's worth every pound/dollar!!
The place in the UK is lovely, could have quite happily stayed there myself! lovely river/pond views and very peaceful, just like a hotel!

You might like to hear about our experiance.

We have been travling the world for 20 years and have always taken our pets with us...the only place we didint was to India and only because I was there for a total of 4 months.

I have transported cats and dogs, old and young.....one set of cats lived to be 20!

All adapted really well, all loved being with us and we found it easy to get in to a normal family life because they where with us.

On the stress side, the trip can upset them...now dont laugh...but I put laveandar oil on their ears and it really works ...it calms them down.

In kennels they have no sense of time and as long as the kennls are kind and well run, they will on the whole be fine.

I have found it is more stressfull for them and me if I visit. So I never do.

Re Pet exporters, do as much research as you can, get personal refs and if for some reason you just dont feel happy with them, dont use them...you will worry from begining to end and you must have confidence in theses people.

We are due to arrive in Christchurch Nov 13 and the pets...3 cats and a dog...a BIG dog arrive the 25th oct......NZ is a GREAT place for pets :raebanana
