Hi we are the Salters and are currently in the process of sorting out our EOI online. All being well we will move by the end of 2007. We are hoping to settle in Whangarei on the North Island as our eldest son and his fiance are there and it would be great if we could reunite the family.
As we are both 40 something this move seems a little daunting but we are determined to give our other 2 kids son 19 and daughter 15 a better life before it is too late.
Would love to hear from any ex South Africans who have settled in the area.
and of course any one else who just wants to say hi and give encouragement. We can all use that. :exit

Welcome to the forum. We're also from South Africa and planning to move sometime next year, probably to Auckland. Where in South Africa are you?

Bergita we are in Welkom in the Free State Goldfields. How far are you along in the process. We are being held up by my hubby's NZQA assessment. Hopefully it won't take too long so we can get out of the stagnant state we are in at the mo as we are in a hurry to move before our daughter gets too far along in the education system.
